I have measured an old sail which corresponds to the class minimum of 13' 5". The new sail is 13' 10".

We tried the new sail and the cars are back behind the bulkhead by two- three holes. The top part of the sail still stalls when we point and the foot is tight.

From pictures on the forum, everyone has cars set around the back edge of the window which agrees with our old sail.

It seems like everyone is going with the 150% Genoa but just looking for confirmation prio to cutting the new one.

:: Class rules allow a #1 genoa with an LP of 13' 5" to 13'
:: 11". This corresponds to a sail that is between 150% and
:: 155%. My guess is that most folks would order the 155%
:: since it is allowed.
::
:: If you cannot sheet tightly enough with your jib lead
:: arrangement, then the clew of your genoa can be adjusted
:: by your sail maker...

:: :: Hi,
:: ::
:: :: I have bought a new #1 sail and believe it is a 155
:: :: genoa. We have raced twice with it and seems to be quite
:: :: loose which is affecting the pointing of the boat.
:: ::
:: :: Just wondering for the one design class what size people
:: :: have been using?
:: ::
:: :: Thanks!
