Hi all,
Can anybody make a case for having the spinnaker blocks mounted all
the way aft on the stern pulpit?
We're always using a twinger to provide a fair lead under the boom
(twinger eased as much as possible without touching the boom).
On the guy the twinger is all the way down pretty much always.
Put those two together and it seems odd to run the sheet all the way
aft.
Anybody sheeting over the boom during heavy air to depower the chute
leech? This really makes me nervous because if I remember correctly
this can lead to sheet/boom entanglements.
I'm thinking of moving the spinnaker sheet forward to a large U bolt
we have mounted just aft and outboard of the primary winches. I'm
hoping this will help with the butt-cleats that always seem to
inhibit putting the pole up, and also I'm a little fearful of the 180
degree loading on that aft block right behind my back... if that were
to pull out I'd be in a world of hurt.
thanks
