Subject: Bottom paint (or lack thereof)
Info: (18655 views) Posted: Sunday 6-10-12 07:04:17 PM
When you say bottom paint, are you referring to something like an interprotect 2000 or a VC17? I have been leaving my boat in the water for about 4 months continuous and do not have a bottom paint except for VC17. There has not been one blister yet. I attribute this to the fact that the Express was made using vinyl ester.

If it was me, I would sand smooth what you have and just use VC17. When I have done this before, Lee Valley sells some really nice 5" disks that are progressive and will almost buff the bottom of the boat. This way, there is no wet sanding! Enjoy
