In the long thread, there was some confusion about my success with TackTick instruments. My experience is not with the wireless system, but rather with the sealed large-display units (SpeedMaster, RaceMaster, SailMaster). These units either have no wires at all (RaceMaster is compass-only) or have direct wires to the transducers (SpeedMaster, SailMaster). No wireless components; no integration possibilities.

They are expensive, but very, very bullet-proof.
