Subject: Bilge pump

No bilge pump can beat a scared crewmember with a bucket.

:: After thinking about it some more, I realized we ended
:: up buying a new pump, because the old one was pretty
:: shot. We were very happy that we could find the same
:: make and model. The covering where the mechanism
:: daylights in the cockpit was slightly different, but it
:: worked out okay. We tested it by putting the hose in
:: bucket of water, but didn't have to prime it.
::
:: :: Does it work pretty well. I rebuilt my bilge pump, but
:: :: to get it to work I nearly always have to pull the hose
:: :: out of the bilge and pour water into it to prime it to
:: :: get it started???
:: ::
:: :: :: We were able to get parts at Svendsen's in Alameda. Let
:: :: :: me know if you need more info.
