The amount my mast has managed to scrunch the desk is minimal- barely visible. Thanks for the water intrusion warnings... I didn't think of that! I'll have to deal with this before doing serious sailing.

My boat's A-Frame does extend down below the V-berth plywood (Hull 40).

What I see is some cracking along the edges of the A-frame right below the mast step, and 2 other cracks heading forward away from the frame to the 2 mast step bolts.
