Subject: Interior Paint
Info: (8951 views) Posted: Tuesday 7-21-20 11:56:14 AM
The original interior is basically gelcoat with a deglosser added. Matching white is next to impossible unless you have the original gel. I tried several brands and most have a touch of blue or other color so they don't match, The deglosser was hard to find for polyester gelcoat for me. I then tried various paints without success. I gave up and sanded the paint off and used the closest gel match I had. I sprayed it on with a cheap sprayer.from Home Depot, I was just touching up small spots. Hope that helps. Bill #44 Mariner

:: Hi all,
::
:: Does anybody have a suggestion for an interior paint
:: that works well inside the boat? Ideally it is fairly
:: close in color to the original interior paint / gelcoat.
:: I would like to clean up a few spots in Salty Hotel
:: without having to repaint the whole interior.
::
:: Thanks,

:: John
