Well, we added a stand up Harken block at the very back of the jib track last week. It is about 8 to 10 inches forward of the block. We didn't have one problem. the sheet leading to the winch stayed up on the winch. I should add that we have had most of the trouble on the starbord side, so that is where we added the block. The thread for this topic seems to be somewhat of a continuation of the thread on overrides. From what I read, this seems to be a problem for several folks. We found the suggestion of putting tension on the lazy sheet - soon to be new sheet very helpful. This will then discourage the sheet from falling aroung the teak pad. We have Lewmar 24 two-speeds, as well. When we get into a tacking duel we use two wraps and add a third if necessary. It is much easier with the #3.
