dip thru the stablizing shackles (used to brace the lifting

cables)about a foot aft of the aft stantion and continue,

at deck level to an inserted turn buckle that secures it to

the base of the stern pulpit. From the top of the aft

station to the top of the stern pulpit we have a heavy

duty 2" webing strap with "D" ring ends that provides a

strong life line member and a better back rest.

Our life lines are continuous from the bow pulpit to the

aft pulpit. From the rear pulpit to the next stancion the

life line attaches there with a pelican clip. It attaches to

a fitting attached to the life line coming from the front.

Are you confused yet? I am.

The aft line lines are covered with padded tubular

covering. It is quite comfortable driving until a gust hits

and the crew hikes harder. This tensions the life line

causing the life line at the back of the boat to go taut

launching me into the center of the boat if I am lucky or

to the other side of the boat as happened once.

We are discussing various solutions and trying to stay

within the class rule which states, in part:

"They shall be continuous from the aft stanchion to the

bow pulpit on each side. Minimum size is 1/8"

stainless."

If anyone has a solution I am open to it. If we figure it

out I'll let you know.
