They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton. My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell. The boat has a boom kicker and there is a bracket with two halves that has a plate with three holes for the kicker and the purchase attachments.
It looks like there were two screws either side to attach the bracket to the mast. The threads are striped.
My question is has there been a better bracket made for this or I was thinking about having some extension welded on to bring the bracket around the mast more.
Any thoughts? Thanks for the input
