Subject: Hull # 80 comes home!

Get a new one! Don't mess with that. You should replace both uppers so they match and if the rest is over 5 years old you might as well replace them too. WP

:: Hull #80 has come home. We had a successful tow from LA
:: To SF this week. We took 5 over the grapevine and dodged
:: all the mad truckers.
::
:: It's my understanding that Hull 80 had never been in the
:: pacific waters untill just this last month. I was told
:: she was ordered and sent to the east coast where she has
:: spent her entire life (please correct me if I'm wrong).
::
:: We resteped her yesterday and hope to have a sail this
:: week, although we did screw something up. Accidentally
:: we bent the threaded bar that attaches the turnbuckle to
:: the swag on the uppers (don't ask how as I'm rather
:: embarrassed). We were able to straighten it from it 45
:: degree bend, but my question is is it safe to reuse post
:: straightening and if not where can we get a new one.
::
:: Mike
