Brendan has good advice on the deck +1

I have the same issues with the tuning guide, my forestay length only allows a 25-1/2" rake number etc. I can easily duplicate the forward bend you have with too much tension on the aft lowers. What tuning numbers are you using? 34 with the backstay on full or something else? I tension my aft lowers so the mast is straight with no backstay, and tighten them 1-2 turns for windy days. I am not sure if that is correct, my boat is noticeably faster with them loose or real loose.

deck comment: check your deck organizers for core leaks. Those use rubber grommets for sealing the deck that dry out and crack after 20 years. Guess how I know that.
