For the record, I am personally in favor of keeping the existing 880 lb weight limit.

I also believe very strongly that as a one design class we have one rule for all class sanctioned events (and most definitely including the "ld / fun series").

Currently that rule is 880 lbs, period. If the fleet wants to change that to a new number or formula, that is fine, but it has to be done as a fleet (ie, at the annual meeting).
