Author: Bill Subject: What's your PHRF number? Info: (8298 views) Posted: Wednesday 1-14-15 01:08:02 PM |

::
:: :: The Express is a 132 (129 OD configuration with the
:: :: penalty pole) in San Francisco bay. Which I get in a
:: :: place that has an average of 15-25 knots. But I'm
:: :: finding the number is 144 throughout North America with
:: :: a few exceptions like Detroit(144 -6 for masthead kite
:: :: 138). My question is what does the Express 27 rate at
:: :: your club or fleet and what are your average wind and
:: :: sea conditions. Also does it sail to the number? Before
:: :: someone hits me with the good old screw handicap racing
:: :: sail one design I plan to in the bay but at my local
:: :: club I need a number. The average breeze is 8-12 flat
:: :: water.
::
:: Northern California PHRF 129
:: So Cal (Long Beach) PHRF 132, that is used by my club
:: here on the South Shore Tahoe LTWYC
:: seems to work as well as could be expected. SDK
