The Lewmar Series 40 hatch hinges seem to pivot close to the deck. It looks like the raised lip on the deck, forward of the hatch, will prevent a 180-degree opening, and would require a forward facing hatch with hinges on the aft side? For aft-facing hatches I’ve seen metal straps that pivot on hinges that are raised about 1 ¼ inch above the deck. I’m guessing that is original and wonder if those hinges are still available.
