One Design Regatta at Regatta ProJuly 17 - 18
Story
The 17th & 18th was the Express 27 fleet's annual Carl Schumacher Regatta.
RegattaPRO again ran this event as it did last year. No yacht club was involved.

Twelve boats signed up with nine showing up on Saturday and eight on Sunday.

With winds to 20kts on Saturday and up to 23kts on Sunday, everyone was thankful for the flood tide at TI.

Swamp Donkey ruled the course on Saturday with two bullets and a duce, while Xena took control Sunday with two bullets and a third. True Grits showed consistency throughout to place third.

Race 4 was postponed Saturday as the race committee took pity on the fleet and felt they had been beat up enough for one day and added it to races 5 and 6 for Sunday.

The winds both days separated the boats with good teamwork from those who needed some improvement and by the last race each day it became questionable whether flying a kite was worth the risk. Those who did however went to the bank.
