Subject: Sails for sale
Info: (18195 views) Posted: Thursday 10-16-14 09:09:26 AM

:: I have a few sails that are close to new that came with
:: my Express #115 that are for sale. Reason for selling is
:: I purchased a new Carbon main set up for shorthanded
:: sailing from Pineapple Sails and will get few more sails
:: for shorthanded specific from Kame.
::
:: I do not use #1 jib since it crushes my rating and alone
:: I find the #2 fine for the light conditions.
::
:: I have a new Mast Head runner so I only need one.
::
:: So sails I have are:

:: Santa Cruz Dacron Main condition = 9

:: Santa Cruz 150% jib condition = 9

:: Santa Cruz 150% jib condition = 7

:: Santa Cruz Mast Head full runner condition = 7+
::
:: three old kites I will give away if you pay the shipping

:: 1 masthead Quantum

:: 1 Fac runner

:: 1 a-sail for crusing
::
:: Send me an email and I will send along pictures I just
:: took. I am located in RI. As for price I do not know
:: what a good price is so make me and offer and I am happy
:: to give a good deal to anyone interested.

Thursday 16 Oct update: Thanks for all the nice responses to my sails for sale. I am just back from a business trip and will get back to everyone today.

A couple of questions I have been asked that I do not have the answers. 1. What year are the sails? My guess is 2012 but that is a guess. The boat was only used lightly in the summer months in Maine. It is hull #115 that I purchased through the class site.

2. The dacron main has one top full batten and one reef point. I have never had it up only looked at it in my yard. It does not have a lot of use and condition is not the reason I purchased a new one. I wanted two reefs and two full battens and the lightest sail with a shape I discussed with Kame. No crewed sailing with my E27 here only shorthanded racing and trekking.

3. I do have a picture of the MH runner. I used it on my first sail and it looked nice. But with a new .5 MH runner in the Q I kept the new one.

4. The two #1 jibs again have never been raised by me. The newer one is fantastic condition and based on everything else on the boat, and the sails I am keeping (#2, #3, #4) it was the best jib from the lot. The older one is not a race jib but ok for practice.

5. The free kites are just that free kites. I flew all of them once to just check them out and they are good for practice.

I will add a link here where I will post the pictures on my web site. Rain here today so additional pictures will have to be tomorrow.
