Subject: Daysailor E27 project for sale
Info: (22606 views) Posted: Monday 12-6-10 08:03:52 AM
I have been slowly putting this project together for the last few years, but too many other obligations are preventing me from finishing her. For those of you not familiar with this boat, the hull and deck were constructed using the e27 hull mold some many years ago. The boat was never finished and it sat in Ron Moore's shop for 12 years before I got ahold of it. The cockpit is 16' long and opens at the stern. The hull has about 6" less freeboard than our regular e27's. The core on the hull and the deck is mostly foam which results in a much lighter boat. There is also lots of kevlar reinforcement in the key spots.

The deck has been bonded to the hull and non skid has been applied. The topsides have been primed but not painted. A deck mounted bow sprit is set up though the actual sprit needs a few more layers of carbon to be ready to use. I purchased a carbon fiber Melges 24 mast for the boat, and afixed a normal e27 keel to the boat. I also have the boat sitting on a very road worthy dual axle trailer. Lots of extra bits and pieces go with the boat.

It is time for someone else to come in and finish this great project. I am sure it is going to fly when it is finished. The ideal Delta Ditch machine! I have over $8,000 invested in this boat, but I will entertain all offers if the interested party will actually finish the boat.

E-mail me for pictures.

Cheers, Jason
