Subject: Series Event Poll Open for Voting
Info: (18214 views) Posted: Sunday 1-18-09 08:21:02 AM
Hi Everyone:

The poll Tom, Peggy, Dan, Brendan, Eric and I spent considerable effort developing to record your fleet series regatta interest, and series scoring preference, is now open.

Based on frequency and number of hits; on message board Series Event Notes & Poll Prep Update, it looks like the complete fleet turns through these posts in two weeks time. Subsequently the poll is open for the next couple of weeks.

To make your polling run smoother, please refer to the thread below, 'Notes for Smooth Voting, describing some of the issues of the poll framework to be aware of before voting. The primary gotcha being you cannot scroll back a page. So please know how you are going to vote through the choices before voting to make your poll run smooth through the paging.

In the give and take required to get the idea of voting carried over from last year, various fleet participants have advocated different methods of determing series including various event submissions. Most recent submissions include some preliminary choices offered by a cadre of buoy fleet racers appearing on the home page.

Please consider event advocacy associated with different groups of the fleet promoting their choices; but make your choices, as your vote is the vote that will count in determining the final Buoy Race Series and Fun Long Distance Series, and scoring systems for e27 2009.

Thanks for everyone's support in adding their event submissions, rally on the subject of fleet focus, series preference and scoring preference.

The committee looks forward to sharing the full results.

Mike
