I have an easy solution for you and anyone else still using the ole wire lifting strap. Go to www.grainger.com and do a search for item# 3KN82, it is a lifting strap that works absolutely great. And it only costs $27.45 for the strap. It weighs hardly anything and stuffs nicely in the bilge. You no longer have to hear that chain clanking around and rusting in the bilge. Plus you are getting weight off the boat.
