Thanks Roger , I had some anxiety as I'm awaiting on
a 4 hp nissan. Sadly the weight doubles as all 4,5 ,6
hp Tohatsu Mercury and nissans have the same weight.
Do you have a retaining pin to hold a motor mount in place?
I think there is a risk of a motor mount to
slip out in reverse.
:: Just another view- I do significant long distance
:: cruising often motoring for 8 hours. I use a mercury 5
:: horse long shaft (with an alternator to charge the
:: batteries). It is heavy to move on and off, but I see no
:: issues with the mount, other than the obnoxious
:: vibration inherent in the mount design. For serious
:: transport I think you need 5 horse, for occasional use 4
:: would be better. Long shaft is a must for any serious
