This is an easy race to administer because a short crew can be far more competitive. So easier to recruit for and fewer sandwiches.
Believe me crew will bid to sail on this one; get them to pay the entry, bring the sandwiches and sail the boat back.
My bet given the flood tide is that we'll get in by 6pm this year.
Any one can win this one over the 60 sum odd miles of the course.
End up ion the delta and go crusing for a few days back if the 9 - 11 hour motor sail over one day seems too much. Stops in Isleton and Benecia are always good choices.

:: 17 boats turned out for Ditch Run last year.
::
:: I never trailer back because its a 9 to 11 hour motor
:: sail back. And who wants to hassle with the hoist at SSC
:: after the race? I certainly don't, especially when the
:: parties already underway.
::
:: SSC has assigned me a berth for up to a month in prior
:: years for those who want to stay over in the Delta.
::
:: Easy to get crew home after the race; on ther RYC bus or
:: Amtrack which my crew has always preferred.
::
:: See you on the Ditch Run.
