Hi Everyone;
Checking out the weather today for dbh'd LS, I can't imagine that
Crewed LightShip will by any different. 15 to 20 WNW and that means
fast fetch out and fast spinnaker reach back.
Way back when before there were a lot of boats to make up a fleet,
e27s were meant to clean up on Olson 30's the Saint Ann in
particular, SC 27's, Bloom County and Moore 24s in the ocean.
Designed as a next generation MORA rocket ship resulting in MORA
season wins. 1983 for sure because I was their on Light'n Up.
Crewed Light Ship is exactly what the e27 was deisgned for in terms
of Gulf of the Farallons performance to the weather mark and surf /
plane back.
Sign up with YRA for StFYC LightShip on 3/21. Event at StFYC
following. This a great race for the quick up wind and fast down
wind. And exactly what the boat was designed for.
Don't miss it and especially if you only race buoy . . . becuase
you're missing out on exactly what the boat was designed for.
