might be fun but we need to figure out how to keep our bottoms clean.
We might have to find a way to pull all of our trailers down there
and leave them at one of the Yacht clubs in the area. I see no
alternative. Long ride with a trailer I fear.

:: I agree...I like the idea of putting together as many
:: events as possible in the Monterey Bay area... certainly
:: one of my favorite places to sail. If we are going to
:: have our nationals down there, it would be very cool to
:: plan on having events on adjacent weekends down there as
:: well. More bang for the hassle of trailering the boat
:: back up.
::
:: -- 1st weekend. feeder race to Monterey
::
:: -- 2nd weekend. bouy races around Monterey/Stillwater. Race to SC... this is likely to be a close fetch, so perhaps we would just make it a "cruise" or something.
::
:: -- 3rd weekend. Nationals @ SC.
::
:: --race from SC to Monterey (I suppose this could even be the long-distance race for the nationals?).
::
:: -- 4th weekend. races in Monterey/Stillwater area
::
:: OK, perhaps this is a bit much... many folks may not be
:: able to do everything. but I think I would do all of
:: that, if we planned it.
::
:: Anyway, just some more thoughts...

:: :: If we had the National in Santa Cruz it might be wise &
:: :: fun to plan a series of events down here in the Monterey
:: :: bay area which would help to offset the time and expense
:: :: of moving the boats. There the Dolphin regatta at MPYC
:: :: and the Santanarama held by Stillwater Yacht club out of
:: :: pebble beach which offer a great beach party and BBQ
:: :: plus sailing in one of the most beautiful areas of
:: :: Carmel overlooking point Lobos!
:: ::
:: :: Plus a potential down race from Santa Cruz to Monterey -
:: :: 22 Miles
:: ::
:: :: Just a thought!
