Mike,
The Sarcoma Cup is a new race being organized to support Nathalie
Criou the owner of Elise (see www.beatsarcoma.org). We felt it was
important to help support one of our own folks.
The Second Half Opener isn't on the schedule simply because it didn't
get enough votes. It's still one of my favorite races, so we'll be
out there.

:: Hi Dan:
::
:: What's the Sarcoma Cup & why this event? What are the
:: oher late June or July event choices?
::
:: Midnight Moonlight, Plastic Classic, Second Half Opener.
::
:: I, for one, would prefer to do the second half opener
:: ocean in and out.
:: . . . compared to a race I know nothing about.
::
:: Please advise.

:: :: Hi Dan:
:: ::
:: :: Hey, the two series options look good. Thanks for
:: :: picking up on the hard core vs seperate angle.
:: ::
:: :: For the LD/FUN . . . the Sarcoma Cup ? and all those RYC
:: :: events . . .

:: :: :: Mike,
:: :: ::
:: :: :: Paul just posted the 2008 schedule to the website (click
:: :: :: on Events). YRA hasn't put up their Master Calendar yet,
:: :: :: so the dates we have shown are approximate for now.

:: :: :: :: Hi Fleet Officers:
:: :: :: ::
:: :: :: :: Can you please post how the race votes split out. M24's
:: :: :: :: have already posted their series . . . and between the
:: :: :: :: two . . . E27s is what counts for 2008 planning and
:: :: :: :: coordination . . . against this other fleets series.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: :: Perhaps the use of dialogue boxes on the site (
:: :: :: :: previously provided as an example) tooferret out the
:: :: :: :: pros and cons of the race vote for final series
:: :: :: :: selection, will lift some of the burden from fleet
:: :: :: :: Officers having to make choices lacking final fleet
:: :: :: :: member consideration?
:: :: :: ::
:: :: :: :: I still think the dialogue box method is best for
:: :: :: :: discussing and narrowing in and then choosing the race
:: :: :: :: choices. But without the vote framework to define the
:: :: :: :: foundation . . . it seems were stuck in Limbo here.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: :: Thank you.
