Subject: Rudder Bearing

The new bearing should fit very sungly. We just replaced ours on Exocet as well as Maximus and all that was used was a bit of 5200 or something similar. There is a groove on the bearing to apply the 5200. They will fit nicely and you will be very happy with the performance.

:: I am replacing the lower rudder bearing on Mirage. The
:: old bearing abraded the shaft making the new bearing a
:: slightly loose fit. Does anyone know the proper way to
:: get the new bearing to fit snugly? Is it best to epoxy
:: the new bearing in place and accept that I will never be
:: able to replace it, or is it best to bed it in
:: polysulfide, or is there some other fix? Thanks for any
:: help.
