Several of us in the Detroit fleet are in our 60s and I think we manage the boat as it exists, pretty well. A light motor helps. I just bought a new Tohatsu 3.5, which , at 28 lbs. is relatively easy to deal with. But we still sail in and out of our slip 70% of the time.
