We started off with a J22 Kite that worked great as a chicken chute -- the biggest issue was the cloth weight ultimately wasn't up to the task. I strongly suggest investing in a proper chicken chute. Our's is purpose built in 1.5 oz Nylon and is bomber and balanced for the boat.
