Subject: E-27 Spinnaker launching
Info: (10344 views) Posted: Thursday 3-17-11 10:05:03 AM
Hey Don, Around the bouys we launch and douse out of a bag hanging in the forward hatch. In ocean races we tend to launch either out of the companionway or a turtle, and douse into the companionway. Hope that helps, Patrick

:: Hi,
::
:: I am looking at buyiing an E-27 and sail a J/24
:: currently.
::
:: I was wondering how the spinnaker launch / takedown is
:: done on the E-27. With the J, we have a basket inside
:: the companionway which slides on metal wire. The
:: spinnaker is all rigged and sits in the basket until it
:: is launched and then is taken down in the same way.
::
:: Thanks for the input!
::
:: Don
