Subject: Mast base

Our mast plate was in rough shape this season. What we did was place each half in a secure vice on a work bench and pounded bent and twisted until each half fit nicely. Not the most glamorous solution but it worked. We've found that stepping the mast with a gin pole whenever possible helps prevent the bending from reoccurring. Dan
