Subject: Emergency Rudder
Info: (21192 views) Posted: Thursday 5-31-07 07:24:19 PM
Hi Geroge:

I've modified the primary V-berth board.

First, thru bolt the stiffiner under the aft side of the board. I used four bolts with fender washers on both sides w/lock nuts.

Then, lay your spinnaker polo down against that secured stiffiner

Next, mark four router marks, about 1/2 in length (enough foer the widtgh of a hose clamp) in parrallel with the pole across the board thwartships.

The idea in marking these holes, is for the hose clamps to go through the holes and around the pole picking up the stiffiner for support.

I've actually never valuidated the design. However, implemented it for use. I've seen similar on a Santa Cruix 27.

Mike
