Subject: Bilge pump

After thinking about it some more, I realized we ended up buying a new pump, because the old one was pretty shot. We were very happy that we could find the same make and model. The covering where the mechanism daylights in the cockpit was slightly different, but it worked out okay. We tested it by putting the hose in bucket of water, but didn't have to prime it.

:: Does it work pretty well. I rebuilt my bilge pump, but
:: to get it to work I nearly always have to pull the hose
:: out of the bilge and pour water into it to prime it to
:: get it started???

:: :: We were able to get parts at Svendsen's in Alameda. Let
:: :: me know if you need more info.
