Subject: Windows in sails

Dan,

We have done a lot of testing with the placements of windows at UK sails. We placed a vision window in the top of the main so the trimmer can see the position of the top spreader in relation to the headsail. This keeps the crew on the rail while trimming the sail.

We also put a big window in the Genoa so the foredeck can see crossing traffic.

I believe these are the only two windows that we currently install on our new sails.

Does Kami have any recommendations on where to put the windows?

-Jason
