Subject: Pipe Berth Repair

Dan- If it were anyone else, I would say use a 1/2" bolt with lock nut clear thru the boats hull, the drag won’t hurt too badly. In all seriousness, what Jason says is the same way I fixed mine, I would however use stainless steel so that the aluminum can not corrode inside the hull even if it does get totally sealed up it is likely to corrode over time which could cause a small blister from the expansion of the metal and corrosion.

:: A couple of the rivets that secure the metal rail of the
:: pipe berth to the hull have failed. Any suggestions for
:: the best way to remedy this?
::
:: Thanks
