Wow, what an awesome weekend! I am still on cloud nine from having so much fun! That seemed to be the same feeling from everyone I talked to this weekend. The weather was great, the racing was intense, and the comradery was second to none. It was just an all around fun regatta and I look forward to next year's being even better!
I wanted to point out a few individuals who didn't get their deserved recognition for their hard efforts to make this event happen. My partner, Ben Landon, was there every step of the way helping out to make this Nationals as successful as it was. There was no way I could do this alone. It was definitely a two man job. So next time you see him make sure you give him the same thanks that I have been receiving. Thanks Ben!
Also, his wife Tess was there every day selling t-shirts, weighing you cranky guys and gals, and selling dinner tickets. Thank you very much Tess for all your help. You are a real lifesaver!
So here are the final results that everyone has probably been waiting for. There were a lot of competition throughout the fleet and it wasn't just the top few boats that were shaken up a bit in the last day. If this is any indication of what the light air midwinters will be like, it is going to be a lot of fun!
