Congratulations to Dianne with their win in the Elite Keel Regatta.

ELITE KEEL STORY-A LIST OF TEN THINGS THAT HELPED DIANNE

1) The crew: Jarian Westfall, Laurel Schmidt, Mike Pastrone, Jeff Fellicetti

2) Will Paxton wasn't there.

3) This crew can change head sails, the hanked kind, in less then 2.3 minutes.

4) Wilie E Coyote didn't race Sunday.

5) Sun was shining.

6) It was my birthday weekend.

7. El Raton wasn't there.

8. We went left when we could.

9. The wind was blowing.

10. This crew has 59 combined years sailing with me.

I think they would only violate the rule if you purchased the NEMA portion of the instruments and connected a GPS and a computer. If you just use the speed and depth portion it is no different from the normal instruments that came with the boat except they are solar powered and wireless. That being said, I am all for changing the rules to keep up with the times. This is something that should be brought up at the next class meetting.
