ELITE KEEL STORY-A LIST OF TEN THINGS THAT HELPED DIANNE

1) The crew: Jarian Westfall, Laurel Schmidt, Mike Pastrone, Jeff Fellicetti

2) Will Paxton wasn't there.

3) This crew can change head sails, the hanked kind, in less then 2.3 minutes.

4) Wilie E Coyote didn't race Sunday.

5) Sun was shining.

6) It was my birthday weekend.

7. El Raton wasn't there.

8. We went left when we could.

9. The wind was blowing.

The 2011 "Double Damned" Downwind Race will be held August 6th in the Columbia River Gorge. It's a 42 mile Downwinder/Upriver from Cascade Locks Oregon to The Dalles Oregon. It's the Gorge so it's usually Windy ( Record is 3:53 - Moore 24 - Morgan Larson in 2009 )

We would love to have any and all Express' racing. Both Hood River Yacht Club Express' will be racing ( My "Monster Express" #87 and the newly relocated Bessie Jay now known as "Kitchen Remodel") and hope to have a couple more.

There should be a strong fleet this year with the Moore 24 Nationals the week before in Cascade Locks.
