Congratulations to Dianne with their win in the Elite Keel Regatta.
Here is Steve's Top Ten List that he has submitted for publication. ELITE KEEL STORY-A LIST OF TEN THINGS THAT HELPED DIANNE 1) The crew: Jarian Westfall, Laurel Schmidt, Mike Pastrone, Jeff Fellicetti 2) Will Paxton wasn't there. 3) This crew can change head sails, the hanked kind, in less then 2.3 minutes. 4) Wilie E Coyote didn't race Sunday. 5) Sun was shining. 6) It was my birthday weekend. 7. El Raton wasn't there. 8. We went left when we could. 9. The wind was blowing. 10. This crew has 59 combined years sailing with me. |

Stable participation across season long series
Objective:
10 to 14 Races
Advocating F/LD series moves to low point systems for equity and to encourage series participation
Dates are 2009 approximate
Strategy: No duplication w/class short course buoy series Fun & Real long distance races; all w/social aspect Focus on one day per weekend; easy admin/boat clean up Avoid trailer if possible; easy admin, lower cost

F/LD; Corinthian Midwinter Weekend I; 17&18; season open w/dinner dance
F/LD; SSS Three Bridge; 24th or 31st; an e27 tradition
FEBRUARY
F/LD; Corinthian Midwinter Weekend II; 21 & 22; season open w/dinner dance
MARCH
Buoy; Spring Keel; March 3 & 4
F/LD; OYRA Crewed Lightship; 21st; season opener, get together at StFYC
APRIL
F/LD (Choice 1); BAMA Double Handed Farallones; 4/4; real long distance
Buoy; Resin Regatta; 11 & 12
F/LD; (Choice 2); OYRA Duxbury LightShip; 25th; great race, fully crewed or double handed?
MAY
F/LD (Choice 1) Vallejo Race; 2nd & 3rd; popular w/Saturday night party

Buoy; PCCs; 5/31 & 6/1 or 6/7&8
F/LD (Choice 1); DITCH RUN; 6th or 13th; long distance to Stockton, e27 tradition
Buoy; Sarcoma Cup; 26 & 27th (There’s better F/LD choices this month; so buoy only, Sarcoma could also duplicate for PCCs
F/LD (Choice 2); OYRA Half Moon Bay Race; 27th; destination race with party, cruise back.
JULY
F/LD (Choice 1); Silver Eagle; 4th or 11th; real long distance, new shorter 58 mile course
F/LD (Choice 2); Midnight Moonlight; 4th or 11th;SFYC Vallejo/return starts at 4pm; great race
F/LD (Choice 3); 2nd Half Opener; 25th; Saturday long distance race to Bonita only; great party
Buoy: 2nd Half Opener; 26th; Sunday buoy races only.
AUGUST
F/LD; SSS Half Moon Bay; 22nd; double handed easy admin destination with party
Buoy: Regatta Pro; 8 & 9. (Make this the fleet NA’s?)
Buoy: Stand alone NA’s date choice 1
SEPTEMBER
F/LD (Choice 1); Windjammers; 8/29 or 9/5; has been mostly upwind to Santa Cruz; w/party
F/LD (Choice 2); SSS Richmond to South Beach; 5th; easy to admin with party following.
