Subject: DRYA PHRF Measurements
Info: (11953 views) Posted: Thursday 3-17-05 11:25:22 AM
OK with the help of Ralph Deeds I have some measurements. While I was able to get most of the measurements off the Rules and Specifications area I thought that it would be convent to have them in a quick access format. This is so when another newbe comes along they could have that info at the tip of their fingers. They are either in feet and inches or decimal format or both. The only question I have Ralph is how P and I are the same? P being from the line drawn at the top of the mast to the gooseneck and I being from the very top of the mast to the deck. I gave the DRYA measurer these numbers and they took it, I honestly think that they won’t even look at them, they’ll just give us an express rating. Which is what they should do anyway, oh well. Also if anyone has anything different by all means chime in and have a happy St Patty’s day

LOA: 27’3” or 27.25 LWL: 23’9” or 23.7 BEAM 8’2” or 8.0 Displ: 2450 I: 28.5 (mast) IS: 28.5 J: 9.0 (clew to bow) P: 28.5 (main luff?) E: 10.42 (boom) SPL: 9.75 (spinnaker pole)

:: I am in the process of filling out the application for a
:: PHRF rating in the DRYA and they need our measurements,
:: why they cannot look at the measurements of the other 10
:: boats I don't know. So anyway of any one has the
:: measurements for the total height of the mast top to the
:: deck(I) and the length from clew of a genoa to the bow
:: (J) that would be great, or just direct me to that
:: information. I got most of the information already from
:: the site. I've pasted what I have from the form, sorry
:: if the justifications are off and it is hard to read.
:: Any Detroiters that have this info handy that would be
:: useful too.
::
:: Thanks,

:: Dan
