Congratulations to Dianne with their win in the Elite Keel Regatta.
Here is Steve's Top Ten List that he has submitted for publication. ELITE KEEL STORY-A LIST OF TEN THINGS THAT HELPED DIANNE 1) The crew: Jarian Westfall, Laurel Schmidt, Mike Pastrone, Jeff Fellicetti 2) Will Paxton wasn't there. 3) This crew can change head sails, the hanked kind, in less then 2.3 minutes. 4) Wilie E Coyote didn't race Sunday. 5) Sun was shining. 6) It was my birthday weekend. 7. El Raton wasn't there. 8. We went left when we could. 9. The wind was blowing. 10. This crew has 59 combined years sailing with me. |

Oct 29 - 30 RYC Great Pumpkin Regatta

-This is the last season counter event that wraps up the 2011 Champion and Distance Series. -Expecting a large turn out from our fleet.
Saturday:
-Three buoy races with first warning at 11:30 -Starting with complementary coffee and pastries at 8am. -Racing followed by camaraderie and keg at the warm RYC docks with a nice dinner ($17pp) at 5pm. -The band starts at 6pm with the costume contest.
Sunday:
-The popular pursuit race kicking off with the 9am Breakfast Burrito bar ($5/pp). -Get your strategy ready for which direction you plan to round the islands this year. -Live steel drum band on the water. -Awards ceremony at 5pm.
Look forward to seeing you on and off the water for this not to be missed event.
SF Mid-Winter Race Series 2011-2012
-The fleet has chosen Berkeley YC for the SF Fleet's Mid-Winter Series for the season. -Held on the “Circle” on the Second Saturday, Nov-Feb. -Sign up on-line http://www.berkeleyyc.org/racing/midwinters/index.html -The SI’s will be available on the link above late Thursday, Nov 10 -Let's make a strong showing as a fleet and have some great fun on the water! -This is a great way to get started racing in the fleet, introduce new crew into your team. -Hone your current team and your racing, enjoy lighter conditions and in general have a lot of fun.
