I have owned my express now for about a year, and have owned many other trailerable raceboats before. Obviously, a hoist is the easiest way to go. Because of where I kept the boat for the first 8 months of ownership (Morro Bay, CA) I ramp launched. Its easy once you get set up for it and have done it a few times. I think I have used the ramp at least 25 times now. I have a standard Express Trailer (Trailrite)I researched several different options for getting the trailer into the water deep enough, including different mechanical tongue extenders. The best option I could find was using a 30 foot tow strap. I also built a removable wheel that would not turn. The wheel I mounted through the A Fram of the trailer and it does not turn. The wheel is far more robust then most of the wheeled jackstands. Remember most ramps will have horizontal grooves and those groves make short work of a off the shelf jackstand (trust me here I have first hand experience) If you find something stating ramp lengths please pass it on. I may sail my Express at the Huntington Lake High Sierra Regatta, but I also know how long the ramp is there.... Tom Jenkins Express #116
