Yea I forgot to mention, for any serious long distance work, you need an external gas can on the cockpit floor. Its not practical to fill up the gas every 45 minutes

:: I use a 3.5hp Nissan long shaft on hull#93. Integral
:: fuel tank is good for about 45 minutes at around five
:: knots. Not a great option for long distance, but perfect
:: for occasional use. Weighs 28lbs and has neutral-forward
:: shift.
::
:: :: Just another view- I do significant long distance
:: :: cruising often motoring for 8 hours. I use a mercury 5
:: :: horse long shaft (with an alternator to charge the
:: :: batteries). It is heavy to move on and off, but I see no
:: :: issues with the mount, other than the obnoxious
:: :: vibration inherent in the mount design. For serious
:: :: transport I think you need 5 horse, for occasional use 4
:: :: would be better. Long shaft is a must for any serious
:: :: use
