Below quoted from Pressure Drop: Drew Scott was helming a F-28.

"My crew is starting to swing around to pick me up when El Raton, in perfect control slides up beside me and asks if I would like to get picked up. They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton.

My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell.

So, a great big thank you to the Ray Lotto and the crew of El Raton for pulling my soggy hide out of Suisun Bay!!

-Announcing the Schedule for the 2012 San Francisco Express 27 Championship and Long Distance Series


-The 2012 SF Championship Series is a blend of competitive buoy regattas, challenging
-distance, double handed and pursit races, and a traditional ocean race 
-that are all true to the versatility and hardy spirit of the Express 27. 
-Most of the events are followed by a social.


-The 2012 SF Long Distance Series builds on the Distance races in the SF Championship Series by adding the 
-Double Handed Lightship and the Double Handed Corinthian race for a total of 11 races.


-Many of the event dates have changed from last year. 
-This has created the return for Resin Regatta to the traditional schedule, 
-however, date changes have compressed the front end of the LD series. 
-The change in dates called for a drop in a championship event, 
-however, the balance and cadence to the schedule remains.


-The fleet continues to grow, and so does the comeroderie and the fun. 
-2012 will be a great year for the Fleet! 
-I look forward to seeing each one of you out on the water!
