I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton. My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell. Scheduling committee is prepared to poll the fleet on this one question.
Q. Pick 2 of 3 events in March/April from Island YC doublehanded LightShip, YRA Crewed LightShip, BAMA doublehanded Farallons.
We're asking acknowledging fleet members input that too much racing occurred in too little time through this season start up period last year.
We chose to soft sound for direction figuring this simply technique might answer the question sans polling. Which event to drop?
The committee is primarily interested in hearing back from 2009 participants to the double handed Light Ship, Crewed Light Ship, double handed Farallons. But all inputs are useful from owners who would race 2 out of three of these events in 2010.
Post back to this message board which ONE of the THREE races you'd PULL from the schedule.
Please advise over the next month.
