Below quoted from Pressure Drop: Drew Scott was helming a F-28.

"My crew is starting to swing around to pick me up when El Raton, in perfect control slides up beside me and asks if I would like to get picked up. They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton.

My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell.

So, a great big thank you to the Ray Lotto and the crew of El Raton for pulling my soggy hide out of Suisun Bay!!

Subject: 2009 Fun/Long Distance Series Master Choice List
Info: (19002 views) Posted: Saturday 9-13-08 10:28:10 AM
Proposal for Express 27 FUN & Long Distance Series 2009 Add you inputs & comments to thread.

Goal: Stable participation across season long series

Objective: 10 to 14 Races (I prefer low point system) Minimum 1 race per month; 2 if separated by 2/3 weekends. Dates are 2009 approximate

Strategy: No duplication w/class short course buoy series. Fun & Real long distance races; all w/social aspect. Focus on one day per weekend; easy admin/boat clean up. Avoid trailering if possible; easy admin, lower cost.

Note: OYRA schedule has full crew & double handed divisions Advocated OYRA in past as focus if interest; double handed? * denotes my preferred choices Add & comment on your preferences in thread to short list. I’ll revisit this list in a month weighted by comments.
