They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton. My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell. Hi:
I've had three different #4s on the Desperado. 1 80% hoist 80% and 2 75% hoist 75% . . . I prefer the smaller (for ocean in particular), although, most boats have the larger.
Racing 4's require tracks ahead of the shrouds otherwise your stuck with a high clewed cruising sail.
Check the Desperado for placement (disregard the outboard tracks).
