"My crew is starting to swing around to pick me up when El Raton, in perfect control slides up beside me and asks if I would like to get picked up. They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton. My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell. Xena, #68 has not yet filled out her crew roster for the rest of the season. If you have an interest, please contact me and lets discuss our mutual expectations. I will then send you our schedule to see what we can work out.
Ideally, we would like to put together a core team that can make most of the races. Skills we are looking for include: Bow, good kite trimmer, general tactical smarts. I will consider relative novices, but only if they are willing to make a long term commitment.
Xena features gourmet lunches and only the best beer, in fact I have no doubt that we have the best beer and lunches in the fleet :-). And we usually don't do too badly in the races... even carrying around all that beer and food.
