"My crew is starting to swing around to pick me up when El Raton, in perfect control slides up beside me and asks if I would like to get picked up. They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton. My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell. So, a great big thank you to the Ray Lotto and the crew of El Raton for pulling my soggy hide out of Suisun Bay!! Drew Scott Papillon (most of the time)" |

:: Last year I started removing the tow rails on Ergo and I
:: cannot describe how much I REGRET this decision and I
:: miss the toe rail. I have only remove the starboard
:: side.
:: My solution for replacing the toe rail is to glass in ½
:: inch rounds, which after completion of the first one
:: looks nice and is more comfortable for hiking.
::
:: Personally I would NOT recommend removing the toe rails
:: at all.
::
::
:: :: I am thinking of removing the side and rear toe rails
:: :: and wondering what to do with the holes.
:: ::
:: :: Do people put bolts with washers back in and seal the
:: :: bolts?
:: ::
:: :: thanks!
