Below quoted from Pressure Drop: Drew Scott was helming a F-28.

"My crew is starting to swing around to pick me up when El Raton, in perfect control slides up beside me and asks if I would like to get picked up. They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton.

My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell.

So, a great big thank you to the Ray Lotto and the crew of El Raton for pulling my soggy hide out of Suisun Bay!!

Subject: Hull #80 for sale
Info: (26047 views) Posted: Sunday 10-30-05 07:31:52 AM
Sadly enough, Partial Magic is for sale. Places to dry sail on the Chesapeake are rapidly disappearing and I can't bring myself to put bottom paint back on her. Once-immaculate VC Performance bottom needs a touch up (I'll take care of) after diver got carried away when I was forced to keep her in the water this year. Want to sell before spring and preserve a great boat.

General: Boat is in great shape, fast and maxed for PHRF racing, but OD capable. Newly-painted (Interlux Perfection) deck and non-skid. Sailcomp with 2 additional KVH Quadro displays. 2-battery boxes (fore and aft). Solar charger. New Tohatsu 3.5 HP OB. Single-axle, galvanized Triad trailer new when I bought the boat in 2000. Custom aft-lowers on block and tackle (also have SS aft lowers for class racing). Custom cockpit step and motor slide (see Deck and Layout pics).

Rigging:

- Thru-deck floating jib/No.2/Genoa leads and barber hauler (no jib tracks on boat).
- Thru-deck vang.
- Topper, foreguy, cunningham and outhaul on quick-removal mast plate (great for traveling).
- All halyards on mast with spinlock clutches on main and primary headsail.

Sails:

-2005 Quantum Fusion M 155% - Lightly used
-2004 Quantum Fusion 140%
-2003 Quantum Fusion Main.
-2001 Quantum Fusion 155%
-Lightly-used Doyle No. 3 (1998?).
-2002 Quantum Airx Class Spin
-2 extra, older spins

$20,500.
