Below quoted from Pressure Drop: Drew Scott was helming a F-28.

"My crew is starting to swing around to pick me up when El Raton, in perfect control slides up beside me and asks if I would like to get picked up. They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton.

My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell.

So, a great big thank you to the Ray Lotto and the crew of El Raton for pulling my soggy hide out of Suisun Bay!!

Hull 116. The last of the original run of boats. Very good condition overall, and really nice down below. Only a few estuary races on all new standing rigging done by Svendsen’s last year. Lots of new running rigging and blocks.

Quantum Dacron main with only about 10 races and a good Santa Cruz main. Brand new UK #1 and an almost new Quantum #1. Good #3 and kite. Other sails as well.

New life lines last year. Full length Harken adjustable jib lead cars.

Brand new in box (not installed) NavCom NX2 instruments. Standard speed and depth package with multi display and added compass transducer.

4 HP Johnson 2 stroke in very good condition that can run off both internal and external gas tanks.

Partial boat cover – runs the length of the boom and wraps around the mast.

Single axle trailer in good condition. Located in Alameda.
